Administrators, Chairs, and Board Secretaries can access the People tab to add, edit, revoke, and remove people associated with their BoardPro account.
Understanding the significance of managing user access ensures smoother collaboration and efficient communication within the platform.
To send (or resend) an invitation to Grant Access to BoardPro:
Go to the People Tab
Click on the context menu (3 dots) at the end of the name of the person you want to invite / re-invite to your board or committee.
Click on Grant Access
Invitations are valid for 30 days.
Note: This applies to both lost and expired invitations.
Additionally, please note that Board Packs can only be distributed to individuals who have accepted their invitations and gained login access. This restriction safeguards sensitive information by ensuring only verified users receive such documents.
A blue box will appear with the message, "Invitation sent successfully."
Once an invitation is sent, it will show as "Invitation Pending" under the person's name until they accept the invite. If the invitation expires, it will need to be resent. When a person is marked as "Invitation Pending," it means they have been successfully invited to join BoardPro but haven't completed their account setup process. This status serves as a reminder that the invitee must take action to activate their account.
Best Practices for Managing User Access and Notifications
Regularly review the "People" list to identify users who have not yet accepted their invitations.
Promptly resend invitations using the "Grant access" feature to ensure timely access.
Clearly communicate the importance of accepting invitations to access essential materials, such as Board Packs.
