Add an Action in the Minutes

Written by Rajit Theodore

Actions are tasks assigned during a meeting to be completed by a future date and reported back to the board. Actions are captured as a type of minute in BoardPro.

To add an Action:

  1. Select the agenda item the Action relates to from the left-hand panel.

  2. Under Add a Minute, select Action.

  3. In the Add Action window:

  • Enter a title and description.

  • Select the action owner or owners.

  • Set a due date.

Important:

Actions must have a title, description, owner and due date before they can be saved.

Tip:

The Action title becomes the subject line of the Action Notice and reminder emails sent to Action Owners. If you leave the title blank, BoardPro automatically uses the first line of the description as the title and truncates it with "..." if it is too long.

Edit an Action in the Minutes

Once an Action has been added, it appears alongside the other minutes for that agenda item.

To edit an Action:

  1. Select the Action.

  2. Open the three-dot menu on the right-hand side of the Action.

  3. Select Edit Action.
