Smart Agenda Item: Action List

Easily track and follow up on assigned actions from previous meetings

Written by Mike Patterson

The Action List smart agenda item helps your board track and follow up on actions assigned in previous meetings. It shows who is responsible for each action, what needs to be done, and when it is due.

Adding the Action List to your agenda provides a centralised view of outstanding actions, helping maintain continuity between meetings.

Select actions for the meeting

Make sure the meeting is in the Draft Agenda stage.

  1. Open the Action List agenda item.

  2. Use the available filters to choose which actions to display:

    • Overdue Actions

    • Actions Completed Since

    • Actions Due in Future

  3. Select the filters that best suit the meeting.

  4. Publish the agenda to include the selected actions in the Board Pack.

Note:
The filters control which actions are displayed in the published agenda. To change the displayed actions, update the filters and republish the agenda.

Can I pick and choose individual actions?

No. Individual actions cannot be manually selected or excluded.

To control which actions appear, use the filters available in the Action List agenda item and republish the agenda.

If expected actions are missing from the Board Pack, check that:

  • the Action List agenda item has been added to the agenda

  • the agenda has been published after updating the filters

Important:
Action items cannot be permanently deleted from the Action List. Filters only control which actions are displayed for the meeting.

Download the Action List

Once the Board Pack has been generated from a published agenda, download the PDF to receive a copy that includes the Action List.
