In Draft or Minutes in Review mode, you'll see an icon with a number next to it under each agenda item.
This number indicates how many minutes (notes) have been recorded for that item.

This number represents the total number of minutes—notes, decisions, or actions—that have been added to the agenda item.
Note: The paperclip icon shows how many documents are attached to the agenda item
