How to Paste Text into Meeting Minutes

How to Avoid Formatting Issues When Pasting from Other Applications

Written by Mike Patterson

If you've copied and pasted content from another application, such as Microsoft Word, into your meeting minutes, the formatting may look correct in the editor but display differently in the preview.

To remove the hidden formatting:

  1. Open the minute entry you want to edit.

  2. Select the text with the formatting issue.

  3. Click Format > Clear formatting.

  4. Save your changes.

This removes any hidden formatting that was copied from the original application, allowing the content to display correctly.

After saving your changes, preview the minutes to confirm the formatting displays correctly. If the issue remains, repeat the steps above.

To help avoid formatting issues when adding a new note:

  1. Open the Add Note window.

  2. Right-click inside the text box.

  3. Select Paste as plain text (if available).

  4. Click Save.

Pasting as plain text removes formatting from the original application, helping to prevent formatting issues in BoardPro.
