Schedule Minutes for Confirmation

Steps to Schedule the Confirmation of Meeting Minutes for a Future Date

Written by Mike Patterson

Once you have completed your draft minutes and are ready to finalise them, select Finish Draft Minutes in the top-right corner of the Meeting Details page.

Or from within the Minutes on the top right.

A Post-Meeting Tasks dialogue will appear, allowing you to schedule the minutes for confirmation and complete other post-meeting actions. If you are not ready to do this, select I'll do these later and return to these tasks when you have time.

If you select "I'll do these now," a new dialogue box will open.

Under Confirm on, select the meeting where the minutes will be confirmed. By default, BoardPro automatically selects the next scheduled board meeting as the confirmation meeting, supporting good governance practices.

If required, you can select a different option from the Confirm on drop-down menu:

  • No meeting – The minutes will not be linked to a meeting for confirmation. They will remain available in the list of minutes awaiting confirmation.

  • Future meeting – Select an existing upcoming meeting where the minutes will be presented for confirmation.

  • Add a meeting – Create a new meeting and use it as the confirmation meeting for the minutes.

If you select "I'll do these later", you can return to the Post-Meeting Tasks at any time by opening the Minutes menu in the top-right corner of the meeting and selecting Task.

Note: As part of good governance practices, BoardPro automatically schedules the minutes for confirmation at the next scheduled board meeting. You can review and change the selected confirmation meeting when you return to complete the post-meeting tasks.
