Effectively managing your BoardPro account may involve deleting committees that are no longer required. Follow the steps below to delete a committee, understand the implications, and ensure your subscription is updated correctly.
Delete a committee
Log in to your main board account.
Navigate to Committees in the left-hand navigation menu.
Locate the committee you want to delete.
Click the three-dot menu beside the committee name and select Delete.
Select Yes, delete to confirm.
The committee will move to the Deleted Committees list.
Select Manage Licenses and reduce your committee license count as required.
Important: BoardPro does not include an archiving feature. Before deleting a committee, download and save any important meeting records or governance files. Once permanently deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
Recover a deleted committee
Deleted committees appear in Deleted Committees and can be restored for up to 30 days after deletion.
During this time the committee is inactive and cannot be used. After 30 days, the committee and all associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Billing and subscription impact
BoardPro applies a 10-Day Rule for newly created committees.
If a committee is deleted within 10 days of creation, no charges will apply provided the associated license is also removed.
Note: You may still receive automated billing emails during this period. These notifications are part of the standard system process and do not indicate an additional charge.
After deleting a committee, review your subscription licenses. The number of licenses should match the number of active committees. If necessary, reduce the license count using Manage Licenses to avoid being billed for unused licenses. Any change will take effect at your next subscription renewal.
Tip: Delete unused committees promptly to ensure your license count accurately reflects your active committees.
