It is not recommended to unconfirm minutes once they have been confirmed, as this can create governance issues. However, if necessary (for example, if signatures were not added), confirmed minutes can be reversed in BoardPro.
Any changes should only be made after full disclosure to the Chair and the Board.
This option is only available to the roles of Administrator, Chair and Board Secretary.
The meeting, where the Minutes were confirmed, must be in Draft Minutes for you to reverse previous minutes.
If the meeting is in the Minutes in Review stage, you must roll back to the Draft Minutes stage.
Steps to unconfirm/reverse your minutes:
Go to the meeting where the minutes were confirmed
In the agenda item where the minutes were confirmed, click on the three dots (context menu) next to the confirmed minutes
Click 'Reverse'
In the pop-up box, confirm that you want to reverse. Note that if there were previous signatures or any amendments made at the time of confirmation, these will be removed.
Once the previous minutes have been unconfirmed, you can click Confirm to add any signatures or make any necessary changes.
