Accessing and downloading Board packs in BoardPro is essential for ensuring seamless meeting preparations. However, certain issues can occur that may prevent you from downloading or accessing these materials. Follow these troubleshooting steps based on the underlying issue to resolve your problem efficiently:

Common Causes and Solutions

1. Browser and Internet Issues

Sometimes, cache problems or browser incompatibilities might prevent downloads. Follow these steps:

  • Clear Browser Cache: - Safari (iPad/iPhone): Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Clear Cookies, then log back into BoardPro. - Mac Browsers: Press and hold the ⇧ Shift key and click the Reload button, or enter ⌘ Cmd + ⇧ Shift + R. - Chrome and Other Browsers: Use Ctrl + F5 on Windows to refresh the cache. For other browsers, please check your browser settings.

  • Update Your Browser: Ensure you are using the most up-to-date version of your browser.

  • Try a Different Browser or Network: Switching to an alternate browser (e.g., Safari if Chrome doesn't work) or using a different network can sometimes resolve access problems.

2. Device-Specific Troubleshooting

If others have access but you don’t, the issue could be with your device or network:

  • Close and reopen the BoardPro app.

  • Restart your device.

  • Switch to another network.

3. Ad Blockers or Security Restrictions

Ad blockers or security configurations on your device can inadvertently block Board packs:

  • Check to ensure an ad blocker or security software isn’t preventing downloads. Disable the ad blocker or whitelist BoardPro if necessary.

4. Agenda Status and Publishing Issues

Your agenda's publishing status directly affects the availability of Board packs:

  • If you only see the agenda instead of the Board pack, ensure the agenda is published. Board packs are not available in draft mode.

  • If the "Board pack publishing in progress" message persists, navigate to the Agenda Tab and click 'Republish.'

Administrator Managed Settings

If none of the above options resolve the issue, it’s possible that downloads are restricted by your organisation for security reasons:

  • Download Restrictions: Some organisations disable the download and print options for meeting documents. In this scenario, you will only be able to preview documents online. Contact your Admin, Board Secretary, or Chair to check the settings under Organisation → General Settings.

  • Security Levels: Admins can control download permissions for added security through the settings page. If you cannot see the download icon when opening a document, confirm this setting with your administrator.

Steps to Download Board Packs

  • Log into your BoardPro account and select your account from the left-hand menu.

  • Navigate to the meeting page and choose the relevant upcoming or past meeting.

  • Use the three dots (...) next to the meeting to open the appropriate document.

  • Download the document using the download icon at the top-right of the page. Note: If you do not see the download icon, this functionality might be disabled by your Admin and can be adjusted in the security settings.
