How to Cancel Your BoardPro Subscription

Overview of the cancellation process

The account owner is responsible for initiating and approving the cancellation process.

To cancel your account:

  1. The account owner must contact BoardPro support via live chat or support@boardpro.com

  2. Once the request is submitted, a cancellation link will be sent to complete the process


Pre-cancellation checklist

Before cancelling your subscription, prepare your account to ensure you retain any necessary data or documents.

  • Export data and documents: Manually download all required information, as there is no automatic data extraction feature. Key areas include meeting documents (agendas, Board Packs, minutes), governance documents, actions list, decisions and interests

  • Save files securely: Store downloaded files in a secure location, such as SharePoint or Dropbox

Important: There is no automatic data extraction feature. All data must be downloaded manually before cancellation.


Post-cancellation details

  • Grace period: After cancellation, your account remains accessible for up to 10 days to allow for final data exports

  • Data access: Once the account is closed, access to all data is removed. Ensure all files are downloaded before the grace period ends

  • No penalties: There are no penalties for cancelling your subscription

  • No refunds: Refunds are not provided for cancellations part way through the billing period

What happens to my data if I restart my subscription later?

Your organisation’s records remain in the account for a period before being deleted. It is recommended to download your records before cancelling.
