Why enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring you to verify your identity using a second authentication method when signing in to BoardPro.
Your MFA settings are unique to your account. If you change your email address, replace your phone, or want to use a different authentication method, you must update your MFA settings yourself.
Important:
Only you can enable, disable, or change the MFA settings for your account.
Enable MFA
Access your security settings
Log in to BoardPro.
Select your profile menu in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
Select the Login & Security tab.
Choose your preferred MFA method:
Authenticator App (recommended)
Email Verification
Set up an Authenticator App
Before you begin, install an authenticator app on your mobile device, such as Microsoft Authenticator.
Note:
If you're new to authenticator apps, see Authenticator Apps (MFA)
Next to Authenticator App, select Set Up.
Open your authenticator app and add a new account.
Scan the QR code displayed in BoardPro.
Enter the verification code generated by your authenticator app, then select Verify.
5. When setup is complete, Enabled will appear beside Authenticator App.
Note:
If you replace or change your mobile device, you must set up your authenticator app again. Your MFA configuration is linked to your current device.
Set up Email Verification
Next to Email Verification, select Set Up.
Review the message explaining that you will receive a verification code by email each time you sign in.
Select Enable.
4. Once enabled, Enabled will appear beside Email Verification.
Tip:
Sign out and sign back in to confirm you receive the verification email. If you don't receive it, check your Spam or Junk folder. If it still doesn't arrive, contact the BoardPro Support team via live chat or email Support@boardpro.com
Check who has enabled MFA
You can see which users have enabled MFA from the People page.
Users with MFA enabled display a green tick in the MFA column.
Changing devices or email addresses
Important:
Before changing your phone or email address, update your MFA settings while you still have access to your existing device or email address. Otherwise, you may be locked out of your account.
