Flying Minutes is a feature with the Premium and Ultimate Plans. If your board subscribes to the Essentials Plan, then you will not be able to see Flying Minutes

Vote

The second stage of a Flying Minute is the Vote.

Once the discussion period has ended, the vote opens for the duration set by the Host. Only a Chair, Administrator, Board Secretary, or Senior Executive can be assigned as the Host.

Accessing the Vote

You can access the vote in two ways:

From the email notification: Click the blue button in the email, or copy and paste the link into your browser.

  • If you are not already logged in to BoardPro, you will first be directed to the login page. Once logged in, the Flying Minute will open directly, allowing you to cast your vote.

Between Meeting Page: You can vote directly from this page or click on the title to open the minute and see how the vote is going

On the voting page, you can view:

  • The current stage of the Flying Minute.

  • The remaining time before the vote closes.

  • The Cast Your Vote button.

  • The voting progress, including who has already voted and how many participants are yet to vote.

When you vote:

  1. Your name will be displayed with how you voted

  2. You have the options to Support, Oppose or Abstain

  3. Add a comment on why you voted (optional)

  4. Please vote carefully -your vote cannot be changed

If you are unable to cast your vote yourself, either because you do not have access to a computer or mobile device, or because you cannot log in to BoardPro, an Administrator, Board Secretary or Chair can record your vote on your behalf. At the same time, they can add a comment on your behalf explaining the reason for your vote.

To ensure transparency, you will receive an email confirmation showing how your vote was cast, along with your comment.
