This is important for organisations who want increased security on access to their governance information.

What is an authenticator app?

An authenticator app is a helpful tool you install on your mobile phone, that adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts, such as your email, banking, or social media - and BoardPro!

If you have MFA via authenticator app turned on in BoardPro, when you sign in you'll need to enter your email and password as usual, but also provide the code from your authenticator app. This makes it much harder for anyone to access your accounts without your permission, as they would need both your password and the constantly changing code.

How to get an authenticator app

If you already have an authenticator app on your phone you can use that for BoardPro, but if you don't have one we recommend the Microsoft Authenticator app, which is available for free from the app store.

Note: you will need to get it setup on your phone first, before turning it on in BoardPro

Google Android

To install the Authenticator app on an Android device, use your phone camera to scan the QR code (see example below) or open the download page from your mobile device.

Apple iPhone

To install the Authenticator app on an iOS device, use your iPhone camera to scan the QR code (see example) below or open the download page from your mobile device.
